The live stream show

We’re in the middle of Hurricane Isaac right now. If you missed it, we had quite a blast doing the live Internet stream as the storm was coming inland. Due to power flickering issues, there was no way to save what took place. The special part about it was we had people all across town and the nation joining us via Google Hangout. We saw people get eaten by panthers, frogs battling, artists making art, gates getting flung open, Mayday got trapped in a mine, and more. We saw as parts of town lost power and people would drop out. It was definitely a great time.

Now? Without power. It’s about 1pm here now and we lost power around 8am. If you’ve never sat through a hurricane before, this is when the stir craziness sets in. Especially if you’re riding it out solo. I’m sitting out on the back porch of my house watching the rain and wind pass us by. With regards to damage around here it’s from what I can see a few downed trees and branches and some bent fences maybe some roof tiles blown off of people’s houses. But nothing that can’t be repaired.
I’ve heard down in Braithwaite there’s some extensive flooding due to levels overtopping.
I’m still livin like a king as I make hamburgers on the stove. I’ll edit this post more as the time passes.
